Hi Ken,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Scott Medlock—often known as “Scotty Medlock”—is an American artist renowned for capturing the drama, emotion, and iconic moments of sports and entertainment figures in his paintings. He painted many legendary figures—Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, Babe Ruth, Dick Butkus, Natalie Gulbis, and more. His reputation in the golf world was particularly notable; in 1996 he was chosen as one of the official Olympic artists for the Atlanta Games, and his pieces have been widely collected by fans and athletes alike.
This is a giclee canvas print in which the printed image (usually inkjet) is applied to a canvas surface, typically made of cotton or a polyester blend. It's a process that allowed for a large (comparatively speaking) number of editions to be made both quickly and cost-efficiently, allowing for modestly low artworks.
Despite his personal problems, Tiger Woods continues to attract considerable interest among collectors and this print, when it comes to auction, usually sells between $150 and $200.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
