Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a screenprint, number 12 of an edition of only 40, after a painting by Timothy Akis (1940 or 1944 –1984), a well known Papua New Guinean artist who held his first exhibition at the University of Papua New Guinea. The print in your possession has suffered waterstains. Those could be removed by an expert paper restorer by washing the print in destilled water and a solution of hydrogen peroxide or oxalic acid. Different methods apply depending on paper structure and colours used, so you better leave it to an expert . If restored the value would be 150-200 AUD. In the current condition the value is rather low, there would be only a limited demand if offered at auction. The estimate is based on similar items sold at auction.
