Fine silk artwork depicts a village with a river and bridge as a Fisherman navigates the waters. The artist is unknown, as I was not able to find any identifying Mark's. The painting is framed and covered with glass. The painting is protected by a silk covered and lined case.
Acquired at auction. No info.
Hello Ron,
Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The item presented appears to be print on silk fabric depicting a quaint riverside town. The object appears to be unsigned or titled. Without a signature or identifying marks, it can be difficult to firmly attribute the item to an artist. However, I was able to run an extensive reverse image search and found some information, none of which is conclusive. The image appears to have been created by a contemporary Chinese artist by the name of Wu Huang. I was unable to firmly identify the name to a specific artist. The image appears to be title "Shades of Morning." Again, this is unconfirmed.
The image is being reproduced in many mediums, mainly prints on fabric. Most of these are being offered on Russian made to order sites. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and retail prices of those mentioned made to order sites. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
