Hi Sandro,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Chris Pastras, also known as "Dune," is an influential American skateboarder, artist, and entrepreneur. Born on July 14, 1972, in New Jersey, Pastras began his skateboarding journey in the early 1980s. He initially rode for SHUT Skateboards before joining World Industries in 1990, where he turned professional and featured in seminal skate videos like Rubbish Heap and Two World Industries Men .
In 1992, Pastras co-founded Stereo Skateboards with fellow skater Jason Lee. The brand became renowned for its distinctive blend of jazz-inspired aesthetics and artistic deck graphics, reflecting Pastras' creative vision .
Regarding the World Industries "Babysitting" deck, it was designed by artist Marc McKee and released in the early 1990s. This deck is notable for its provocative artwork, characteristic of World Industries' edgy and satirical style during that era. While Chris Pastras was a team rider for World Industries at the time, the "Babysitting" deck was not his pro model. Instead, it exemplifies the brand's boundary-pushing graphics that contributed to its prominence in skateboarding culture .
In unused all-original condition, this deck would be worth € 800-1,200 but in its current condition, it has a value of € 500-700
