Fabrica de Toledo, 1864. Ornate black and gold engraving on metal blade. Blade is 3/4 inch at thickest part. Blade is 30 inches long. Hand guard is all metal.
Don't know who owned it. My grandparents on both sides are from Spain. It has not been exhibited. I found it in the back of a closet.

The presented object appears to be a Spanish officers sword with a lenth of 30 inches. It has an righly decoarted basket and sword hilt decoarted with the coat of arms of Spain. The blade is etched, blued and partly gilt. The sword was made in Toledo 1864 for an member of the Spanish Army.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
