Unknown maker. Inherited from a family friend that collected stickley furniture and various vases. Do not have lamp base. Lampshade is in great condition though, I recently cleaned all dust etc off of each piece of glass. Will need to measure it. Its currently in storage 30mins from where I relocated after hurricane helene. Not small, over a foot across from bottom of lampshade.
Hi Suhaiba,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Dragonfly lampshades are stunning decorative pieces, often inspired by the Art Nouveau movement and popularized by Tiffany-style designs. These lampshades typically feature intricate patterns of dragonflies, their wings detailed with stained glass in rich, vibrant colors. The design may include complementary elements like flowers, leaves, or water motifs.
It may bear saying that shades are more desirable WITH their bases but shades do sell separately. Those that are by Tiffany can bring 5-figure prices but ones that are unattributed, as yours is, rarely bring more than $500, sometimes as little as $100-200.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Tiffany style slag glass "dragonfly" lamp shade
unattributed maker, probably mid 20th Century
Of circular section with blue ground, featuring 7 inverted dragonflies with white wings and jeweled eyes. Unmarked.
12 inches high, 16 inches diameter
CONDITION: This shade appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$ 300-500*

I found no engravings or markings. I did measure it to be 16inch by 16inch. I took close up pics of the top piece on both sides. Inspected every inch close up with a flashlight to ensure I had close up lighting to not miss anything.
