two Washington 2 cent stamps and one Jefferson 10 cent stamp
unknown
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and description provided, the subject of this appraisal is a collection of three United States postage stamps. One is a 2 cent Washington (believed to be Scott 406), circa 1912-1914 and estimated to be in average used condition largely due to centering issues, valued at less than $1.00.
Another is a 2 cent Washington (believed to be Scott 220), circa 1890-1893 and estimated to be in average to fine unused condition largely due to creasing, valued at approximately $15.00 to $25.00.
The third is a 10 cent Jefferson (believed to be Scott 150), circa 1870-1871 and estimated to be in average unused condition largely due to edge wear, valued at approximately $400.00 to $600.00.
Unfortunately without physical examination of the specimens, it is difficult to determine the exact Scott number for any of these pieces, and it would be advisable for the Jefferson piece in particular to be professionally authenticated and graded.
