Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I apologize for the delay. Where did you acquire this gun? I was unable to find anything about William McMillan in conjunction with a security detail in Cairo. The pistol itself is not a sidearm that would be issued to U.S. military personnel. Also, the engraving on the slide is done by hand, and spells the name as "Willian" instead of "William." If you have any more information about this piece it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
