The Teddy bear was my mother-in-laws as a child so we think it is from the late 1930's to the early 1950's. It is in excellent condition, the only thing missing is the tag. It is 14 inches tall when standing, mohair fur, felt paw pads, glass eyes, legs, arms and head move 360 degrees, and it makes sound when moved up and down and has a blue ribbon scarf. . I have take several photos of the item.
My mother-in- law was born in 1934, Jersey City NJ. Her father died when she was 1 year old and her mother remarried in the late 1930's to an American/German man who lived in Northern New Jersey and we believe he bought the Bear for her when she was child. It sat in a box untouched for 50 years until my mother-in-law passed away and my wife inherited it.
