22” 103 grams,Cuban Link, 950 Silver
I bought it in Peru at a jewelry store known for pure silver.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful silver necklace. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The necklace has a timeless pattern and design and has been made for decades by various silver and goldsmiths.
It is decorative and classic. However today silver necklaces are not very sought after at auction which affects the price. The estimate is slightly higher than the silver material price however as it is not made by one of the well known silver /goldsmiths it is a fairly common piece of jewellery despite its smart design and the fact that it appears to be in good condition. I do understand that it origins from Peru and that the pureness of the silver is higher than sterlingsilver however the demand for this type of jewellery is fairly low.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the necklace has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the necklace. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
