oil on canvas with wood back signed Sandag 11 1919 good condition
15 1/4" x 12"
Dear Tanya McKiernan,
Thank you for the additional images. The work is a still life oil painting on canvas of radishes. It depicts a bunch of radishes in the center of composition on a dirt ground amongst a dark background. The painting appears to be initialed "APR" to the lower right, and dated 1919. While the artist remains unknown, it is possible for them to Danish because the language of the date is such. The work is in fair condition with a significant abrasion to the left of center, minor losses throughout, and stretcher marks. It measures 15.25 x 12 inches.
Without an artistic attribution, the Fair Market Value is estimated on general sales trends of still life paintings of the early 20th century and its condition. Looking at these comparables, the highest selling of those without an artistic attribution depict floral still lifes, few depict fruit and vegetable still lifes. With these sales trends, we estimate the Fair Market Value of this work between $0 and $200.
Thank you,
Charlotte B.
