Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely vintage handbag. Such vintage accessories are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The handbag appears to be in very good condition without any major signs of use or wear. It was probably made in the first part/ middle of the 20th century when this type of material and style was in fashion. Usually handbags and other types of accessories sell due to the makers name and the brand. As there is no makers name nor any tags or labels in this handbag it will not be a collectors item as such as collectors are very interested in brandnames. However due to the good condition of the handbag and the lovely design I am sure that it will attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online accessories auction, where I believe the handbag has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to your grandmothers handbag. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
