These World War I German swords come on the market occasionally - when they are in good condition and sold by antique arms dealers, they usually sell for between $400 and $600; those same swords don't bring quite as much when sold at auction...usually between $200-300.

An antique WW1 Imperial German 2nd Guard Dragoon Regimental Cavalry Sword with Scabbard
made by W. Rohde, Berlin, early 20th Century
With cast bronze knuckle-guard with crowned eagle with shield and holding an orb and scepter in its claws, reeded black leather grip, the triple-etched chrome blade etched on one side "2.GardDrag. Regt.HeiferinAlaxandrav.Rukland" and a scene of cavalry in battle on the other, in a black leather-covered scabbard.
37 inches overall length; blade: 31-5/8 inches long.
CONDITION: This sword appears to be in generally good condition with some minor wear commensurate to age and use.
