Hi Steve,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
TANE was founded in 1942 in Mexico City by a French couple, Sergio Leites and Natalia Leites, who had moved to Mexico from Paris during World War II. The name “TANE” originates from the French word tannerie (meaning tannery or leather‐works). The business originally began as a leather goods boutique in the Zona Rosa neighbourhood, and then evolved into jewellery and silver objects by collaborating with Mexican goldsmiths. Over time the brand shifted its focus strongly into silver (and later gold) jewellery and “objects d’art” — decorative silver pieces, homeware, cutlery, etc.
Adan Alvarado or Jose Anton both designed works for TANE and *may* be the A mark on the bottom but my reference books don't mention either of them working in a notably geometric pattern.
Auction estimates for works by TANE (geometric or otherwise) always start with the current melt weight (at 3.1 pounds, that would be at least $2,100 based on the value of silver today) and likely go up from there.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

Hi Steve,
It looks like an assayers scratch - possibly the date it was tested - and won't impact the value in any way but it's good to confirm - have a great day!
Thank you so much and have a great week
I found this engraving at the bottom of the foot when I cleaned it. The engraving is. 1/11 and to the right an s squiggly line and another marking. Does this add to the appraisal value of this piece. I didn’t see it when I first submitted my item for appraisal
