Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely and very much loved vintage teddybear. Such vintage soft toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
When estimating old toys the condition of the toys is very important for the value. In this case the teddy bear must have had a lovely life where its fur has been rubbed of from many cuddles. The eyes are missing as is the stitches that would have made the snout. The stomach has a repair and one arm too. It is a lovely teddy bear however seen from a collectors or dealers point of view
the condition is too poor. In this case the sentimental value must be the highest.
As for the origin and date of the teddy it could be either American or European/British from the first quarter of the 1900s. The manufacturer is hard to tell as all the characteristics as eyes, snout, fur etc are missing.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the teddy has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the teddy. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
