The market for contemporary indigenous / First National Australian work is pretty hot but without gallery representation it's difficult. I've priced this at a level that demonstrates the skill etc of the work without being so high as to be unwarranted.
Good luck!
Thankyou so much
Any advice on where to go from here would be much appreciated and awesome 😊
I just make the mess 🤣 honestly wouldn't have a clue what to do next
I think you're on the right track by exhibiting; perhaps the organizers of that can suggest a gallery to represent you? Alternatively, you can reach out to Australia-based auction houses (Smith & Singer or Deutscher & Hackett) to see if they conduct sales of "emerging artists," which is what you are. That would help you start to build a record of auction sales, develop a following, etc.
I hope this is helpful...
G'day Delia
Thanks for responding
It is A4 and framed,
Yep I sure have through nadoc markets or community markets and private exhibitions (cafes ect), so far been lucky as an independent, unfortunately i haven't as of yet got a gallery representing me ☹️ but currently registered with the IartC so fingers crossed soon to come...
Cheers
