Hardcover book, the cover is black with a texture, covered by a green maybe linen cover with gold edging, Copyright 1919 By D. Appleton and Company, Copyright 1918,1919 By The Boy Scouts of America There is no writing in the book, or torn pages, except for the very last page on the bottom. There are some pages where the corners or edges have frayed, like the page is starting to disintegrate? I've done google image searches and cannot find this book.

Hi Kristy,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The Boy Scout Yearbook of 1919 is historically significant for several reasons: it offered early documentation of scouting in the US, it revealed insights into the youth culture following World War I, contains records of local troops and members, is a visual record of scouts, badges, uniforms, and activities. This provides a visual record of early scouting culture and material culture (uniforms, insignia, camping gear, etc.) as well as educational and programming content that identifies BSA's priorities at the time.
I've found a few volumes - both for 1919 and other years - offered for sale online for retail prices ranging from $75-125 and, when sold at auction, between $40 and $60 per issue. I realize this may have greater sentimental value in your family, but when these come on the market, that's usually the range they sell in.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

Kristy,
I'm sorry you're not 100% satisfied with this appraisal - may I ask what additional information you were hoping to get so I can see what else I can find out about this?
Thanks,
Delia
I was hoping for more information. None of this information is new, I found it all myself before contacting you. I am disappointed for having spent money on this appraisal.
