What does this mean?

Hi Nataliia,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Paintings signed 'LEE BURR' - as this one is - were done for Vanguard Studios, of which Lee Reynolds Burr was the director in the 1960s. At the time, Vanguard Studios made hundreds if not thousands of prints and paintings, many of which were signed LEE BURR but which he himself never actually had any hand in creating (those he did are signed Lee Reynolds Burr). They come to market occasionally and while quite decorative, do not have substantial value at auction.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Vanguard Studios Noctural Urban Street Scene
California, mid 20th Century
