This is a late 20th century watercolor still life painting by New Zealand artist, W.A. (Bill) MacCormick, (note the spelling is not Macormick). He is a listed artist with gallery representation and known more for landscape with building scenes around New Zealand and Australia. He works in both oil and watercolor. A still life is a work that shows inanimate objects; this depicting bread and wine and having been gifted to a priest is symbolism of the Christian faith's belief in transubstantiation in which the bread and wine are the body and blood of Jesus when given as the Eucharist during mass. The estimate is in AUD and based on actual past auction sale records of comparables.
