The appraised work is a colored lithograph titled ‘Creekside Trail’ executed by American artist Thomas Kinkade (1958-2012). The print is an artist’s proof numbered 171/198 and a certificate issued by the artist’s studio is also included. The print depicts picturesque landscape scene with lush trees, a rocky terrain and a peaceful creek that runs along the center of the composition. Kinkade grew up in California and got his start as an artist painting background art for film. After working as a background painter, Kinkade decided to earn a living as a professional artist and began selling his work in galleries throughout California.
