Dear Gene Dove,
Thank you for your appraisal submission. This work is not a painting, but a giclee reproduction print of a painting. According to the certificate to the verso, this print is edition 24/95. The work is "Tinker Bell at Skull Rock" by Jasmine Becket-Griffith (American, born 1979) from circa 2015. It is hard to be certain from the photographs provided, but the work appears to be signed in hand to the lower right with an additional signature in plate underneath. The work depicts a gothic-style Tinkerbell steering a boat with a large skull rock formation in the background.
Becket-Griffith is a California-based artist whose work depicts female fairy-type figures and Disney characters in gothic, surrealist, or pop renditions. Her work can be purchased as original paintings as well as certified reproductions. Becket-Griffith's work continues to be sold commercially as well as on the secondary market. As is typical, her paintings tend to sell for higher values than the reproductions. However the inclusion of signatures by hand and certifications help protect the status of these reproductions. Considering recent sales trends of Becket-Griffith's prints, we estimate the Fair Market Value of this work between $0 and $200.
Thank you again for your appraisal submission.
Kind regards,
Charlotte B.
