I believe, based on coloration and deterioration to the surface of the artifact that this is from a bipedal and long legged ornithischian, with a toothless beak, and is a foot claw. This claw has three sides to the sharp and pointed tip. The claw has a tan-taupe coloration and severe grooves in the sides closer to the tip end. The joint end of the claw is a smooth and somewhat concave surface. Overall measurements: 3. 5 inches x 3 inches; unknown weight. A second, in-person, evaluation could further define and authenticate the specimen. I do suggest an appointment with a regional university archaeology department or geology museum.
