Original etching on tan laid paper, plate 8” x 12 5/8”, unsigned. I’ve had it in a drawer, unframed, for about 30- 40 years. No idea about it’s past, but it looks like a good quality print...and oddly familiar.
I picked it up somewhere ( tag sale, box lot, antique shop...?) a long time ago. I have drawers full of odd bits of art. Anyway, it’s been in a drawer for decades.

The presented object appears to be an etching on paper with the measurements of 8 x 12 5/8 inches. The print depicts a forest and is not signed or numbered. This print was made by the French artist Alphonse Legros (1837–1911) and has the title "Lisiere de Foret" (Edge of the Forest).
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
