Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a turkish Hereke silk prayer rug of excellent quality. The prayer rug features an ornate depiction of trees and flowers, birds and wildlife within the Mihrāb. The borders consist of palmette flower and foliage motifs. The rug features hues of salmon, coral, red, green, blue and turquoise, white silk fringes. Such vintage rugs of the last quarter 20th century are quite popular. The estimate is based on auction results. "Asking prices" in the trade, especially in Turkey, are much higher and can vary.
