Two pieces, both of which are 14" wide by 40" tall. There are somewhat polished wood frames, with glass fronts that protect the pieces. The pieces appear to be composed of a light brown fabric background with mountains, trees and birds in a kind of loose collage kind of assembly (better viewed than I can describe).
Was a house decoration of a family member who has given them to me. How they were aquired prior to that is unknown.
Dear Chris,
Same object as before, it is a 1960s Vintage Chinese carved stone wall panel. Made for decorative purpose and for export to western country's in Europe and USA. Stones are usually artificial colored to give them more expression. Stones used are usually soapstone and other common stone. My estimation is based on one panel, if you have two it adds to the value, together, if in good shape they can fetch ca. $ 200 - 250 in a specialized auction.
Regards,
