THESE ARE TWO FEMAALE STATUES HOLDING A ROUND LAMP. THEY ARE AROUND 5 FEET TALL.
I BOUGHT THEN FROM A SELLER WHO'S MOM PASSED AWAY. SHE TRAVELED EUROPE LOOKING FOR ANTIQUES.
Dear Fred,
Thank you for your request. The presented object is a pair of sculptures as lampstands with the measurements of around 5 feet. Both figurines depict servants in a costume of the Greek or Roman antique. The lampstands are probably made out of a white metal alloy or less probable bronze. This point is hard to judge on the base of images, but the white traces of corrosion are a hint that white metal alloy was used. Such lampstands were produced especially in Northern Italy but made out of carved wood. These two pieces were probably made in Asia in the 20th century for decorative purpose.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
