Condition appears to be in good condition. One mask has a crack on the lips. I've collected them over the years. Don't know the history before that. Made of wood with raffia or fibers. Looks like rosary seeds around the eyes.

hello, this item is a traditional West African ceremonial mask, carved from wood and adorned with natural raffia fibers and what appear to be red rosary seeds or beads inset around the eyes. Based on the form, stylization, and use of raffia, it is consistent with masks used by the Mende or Gola peoples of Sierra Leone and Liberia, particularly those associated with the Sande society, which governs female initiation rites. The mask’s smooth facial plane, pursed lips, downcast eyes, and elaborate coiffure suggest it may have been modeled after the sowei mask type used in masquerade performances celebrating female beauty, wisdom, and transformation.
Although it is not clear if this example was used ritually or produced for the art market, such masks especially if vintage and retaining fiber skirts are valued by collectors. A minor crack on the lips affects condition but not severely. Based on comparable examples and assuming mid-20th-century origin, the fair market value for this mask is estimated at USD 300–600.
