I have two Z chairs, some people say they are Selig Z chairs. They do not have a stamp or any manufacturing labels on them. The cushions are an orange color. The condition are pretty good. One is in very good shape, with a few small scratches. The other one has a few more, especially on one arm rest.

Hi Nicholas,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The “Z Chair” (sometimes called the Z Lounge Chair) was designed by Poul Jensen for Selig of Denmark, around the late 1950s to early 1960s. It’s instantly recognizable by its Z-shaped armrests and Danish modern teak or walnut frame. Selig imported Danish furniture to the U.S. and also produced some pieces domestically under Danish license or influence.
Selig used several kinds of paper or foil labels: “Selig – Made in Denmark” (rectangular foil, black/white or blue/silver). Occasionally a round “Made in Denmark” paper sticker. These were applied with adhesive, not embedded, and often fell off over time due to age, cleaning, or refinishing. As a result, many genuine chairs now have no label at all.
I've handled several of these chairs over the course of a 25-year and counting career appraising furniture and these look like the originals; I'm comfortably attributing them to Selig.
Related examples that have sold at auction in pairs have brought prices ranging from $1,500 to $2,000; I would expect a gallery or dealer to ask more for ones they are selling.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
