Hi Jake,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Beanie Babies (BBs) were enormously popular in the 1990s and widely collected, with the consequence that now there are many "on the market" without nearly enough demand for the supply so values on most individual beanie babies are low.
The BB market is often subject to overvaluation and there are myths surrounding BB values, both for ones with - and without - tag errors (for discussion on tag errors, see https://www.vox.com/the-goods/22870250/nft-beanie-baby-price-guide-bubble-princess-value ).
Websites like eBay and Etsy - which are unregulated - are rampant with fraudulent sellers posting BB at exorbitantly high prices and then the BBs either don't sell or sell privately at undisclosed prices. (For an article that goes into detail about this, see: https://www.vice.com/en/article/epnwmn/investigating-the-fake-ebay-market-for-dollar25000-beanie-babies).
Ty Inc. partnered with McDonald's in 1997 to launch the first series of miniature Beanie Babies, known as Teenie Beanies, as part of a Happy Meal promotion. This collaboration was immensely popular, with McDonald's producing 100 million Teenie Beanies for the promotion. The promotion's success led to annual releases from 1997 through 2000, each featuring new designs and themes. The Teenie Beanies returned in subsequent years, including 2009, 2014, 2017, and 2019, often with updated versions like Beanie Babies 2.0 and Teenie Beanie Boos.
These Teenie Beanies were issued in 1999; generally speaking, when these come to auction they bring about $10-15 each but because yours are in their original packaging - and you have the entire set - they are worth $25-35 each, or $100-150 for the group
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A set of four modern Teenie Beanies bears: Maple, Erin, Brittania and Glory
made by Ty and released in 1999 as part of a Happy Meals promotion
Intact their original and unopened factory packaging
Each 5 inches long, in packaging 11 inches long
CONDITION: These are in mint-never used condition
PROVENANCE: Unknown
$25-35 each, or $100-150 for the set of four*
