This is a vintage original 6" x 12" panel painting of a profile bust portrait of a woman by Aldo Rubano. Ribano was known primarily for comic book illustration, though it is not uncommon for comic book illustrators to also practice in fine art mediums such as painting. This painting appears to be both in oil and encaustic, a type of paint mixing pigment with beeswax. Most comic book collectors and comic illustration collectors do not cross over to collecting fine art paintings by those same artists.
