This is a vintage 48cm x 28cm 20th century, about 1930s -1940s, original painting in period frame from George Styles Framing in Sydney which depicts a village of quaint thatched roof cottages along a dirt road leading down to a seaside or lakeside in the distance. In terms of title, or name, of a painting; unless a work has a title on it, they are considered untitled. When untitled work is sold through an auction, the cataloguer will add a description of the subject as the title. In other words, not all works are titled by an artist. Miriam Macrae appears to have won painting exhibition awards in the 1940's in Australia, however she is still an unlisted artist. There is scant biographical information available on her.
