Glass Contour Statues/Figurines of Man and Woman on black marble bases
Local auction
This is a pair of Mid 20th century blown and cased opaque milk and amber glass biomorphic figurals of a man and woman, each mounted to a marble base. They are made in a manner emulating the sculptural art of the English artist, Henry Moore (though these are not Henry Moore pieces). Without a maker mark or signature, of which it is not stated or photographed here that there may be such, where these were produced and by whom cannot be definitively stated. These could be Italian Murano or from a Nordic based glass firm. In addition, the size is not stated, which would also help narrow value. The estimate is for teh pair together and is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
The male height is 17 and 1/2 inches and female is 15 inches. Does this change the value? Thank you!
If unsigned/unmarked, the estimate remains the same.
Thank you and have a blessed evening!
What is the height and please check for any signatures on these.
