Unusual vintage white cameo broach in yellow frame

Description
Vintage oval white raised relief of female broach. The image appears like a Madonna image. Has a C-shaped clasp on the back. Nose on face is straight. Translucent when held to light with the figure visible. It has a decorative yellow frame.

A Gilt &Shell Cameo Brooch, 20th Century, probably Italian
the oval panel carved to depict the Madonna in a nun's habit, within a ropetwist gilt metal surround, 1 1/16 long X 78" wide.
