one of my late father's three watches
Dear Thomas, could you verify if the gold carat is 14k or 18k and would you mind uploading an image of the back of your watch?
Sincerely,

I will have a jeweller open up the watch and write down all the info tomorrow
Dear Thomas,
Your father has elegant taste, his Vacheron Constantin wristwatch is a classic! My evaluations is based on the likely assumption that this case is 18k gold and the piece is good working order. Most are currently selling at auction for between $2000USD and $2200USD (inclusive of buyer’s premium), however, in 2015 an identical watch to your father’s sold through Sotheby’s, “Important Watches” auction in Switzerland, November 12, 2013 for $3837USD (inclusive of BP). This piece was near perfect condition and included the original circa 1970s display tag, currently, this is the highest “auction sold price” available in the market.
If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know and thank you for your submission to mearto.com
Sincerely,
Erin-Marie
