What does this mean?

This is a vintage 3rd quarter 20th century blue and white porcelain vase with hand executed under-glazed cobalt surface decoration, molded stylized dragon head handles with engaged rings that was produced in China. The mark on the underside phonetically translates to 'Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi', which translates in English to 'Great Qing Dynasty Qianlong Period Made'. That Dynasty lasted the majority of the 18th century, however, with marks on Chinese wares, the characters state a Dynasty after which the style of the item is made. In other words, the Dynasty or reign mentioned in the mark does not mean it was made during that time. The estimate is for catalogue auction sale and is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary. Insurance and estate tax purpose appraisals will also vary and are not provided here.
