Venetian pareclose Gorgeous Antique Venetian Rectangular Mirror Made by I. Shwartz, early 1920's-30's Reverse etched floral and foliage designs with hand cut individual medallion adornments, rosettes, and scrolling throughout. Original board mount. Age wear. This exceptional 1920-30's mirror is in excellent condition. No breaks or missing pieces.The reverse painted mirror sections have some oxidation (distressing) to them. It is so rare to find one of these mirrors in this condition.

This is a Venetian 'style' mirror that was produced by the American, New York City based firm of I. Schwartz Glass and Mirror Co. Inc. The company became Incorporated in 1970, thus if the maker label states Inc on it, the mirror dates to later then the 1930s. Technically, an 'antique' by definition is any object 100 years old and older, therefore this is still 'vintage'. These were not actually produced in Venice, Italy, the mirror is made in the manner of popular Venetian mirrors. The estimate is based on actual past auction sales of comparables by the same maker.
