Dear Nina,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please upload a few better images marks. To my eye it is not platinum but a silver mark stating that it is silver with a high fineness. 900/1000.
Thanks
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful pair of earrings. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis. Based on the stamps on the photographs they are made of silver with a fineness of 900/1000. Almost as high a silver quality as 925/1000 sterlingsilver. The design of the earrings is very elegant and they were probably made in the mid 1900s. In Norway this type of filigran work was very popular for folk jewellery. And they resemble the Norwegian style a bit. They may be European the way they are marked with the silver marks.
I believe that it would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online silver auction, where I believe the earrings has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the filigran silver earrings. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
