This rug was purchased in the mid 1990's from Burdines Gallery department, a well known reputable Florida retail store. It was between $2,000-$3,000, I no longer have the bill of sale. The rug has been very well card for and shows no signs of stains. It is no doubt partially wool as it has the "wet wool" scent when cleaned. One photo shows the rug in the last house. The second full rug photo is slightly bumpy as it was just unrolled post moving. The rug was professionally cleaned in mid-April 2026. We have downsized and it no longer fits in our smaller home.

Hello, this item is a machine-made or workshop-produced Persian-style carpet dating to the late 20th century, likely around the 1990s as supported by the purchase history. The design draws on classical Persian medallion compositions with dense floral ornament and a central cartouche, but the precision of repetition, color consistency, and structure indicate production in a commercial setting rather than a village or master workshop. The palette, including soft ivory, deep green, and controlled reds, aligns with export-oriented decorative carpets widely sold through department stores and galleries during that period.
The condition appears very good, with clean pile, intact fringes, and minimal wear, which supports usability but does not significantly elevate value in this category due to high supply. These carpets typically retain decorative appeal rather than collectible importance. The fair market value is approximately $400 to $800 USD, depending on exact material composition and knot density.
