What does this mean?

This is a nice handmade lacquer painting with mother of pearl depicting the landscapes and fisherman. Both lacquer and mother of pearl are expensive materials to make this artifact. It takes many layers of lacquer to form the background and takes many days to dry the lacquer. This is a nice piece of artwork of the 1960s.
