Found the sketch from this painting, made when Andrew Fisher Bunner was traveling through Europe and sketched this in Rotherdan in 1876.
Dear Hermes,
Thank you for the additional information and your patience. The presented object is a painting made in oil paint on canvas with unknown measurements. It depicts a view through a street in a city with a church spire in the background. The painting is signed "A F Bunner" and dated 1879. The signature can be identified with the American artist Andrew Fisher BUNNER (1841-1897) who mainly painted landscape and city views. Your suggestion to identify the city as Rotterdam is a bit conflicting with the not easy readable word between the signature and the date. I read Mün.. which could be solved as München (Munich) the capital of Bavaria in Germany. Also, the architecture fits better with Germany then the Netherlands. Can you send me the drawing of Rotterdam you found and also the measurements so I can specify the appraisal as precise as possible?
With best regards,
Georg

Dear Hermes,
Thank you for the last important information and your patience.
An estimation would be between 1500 to 3000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
