TITLE:
Gent’s, water-resistant, self-winding, center-seconds, tonneau shaped, 18K yellow gold chronometer wristwatch with date and a gold-plated Omega buckle, "Automatic, Chronometer Officially Certified, Constellation" model, Ref. 168.009/168.017, case and movement numbers not known, made by Omega, Geneva, Switzerland, circa late 1960s.
DESCRIPTION:
Case: 36mm diameter, two leaf, polished and brushed 18k gold, fluted bezel, (6 screw) screwed-down case back with embossed Constellation logo, leather strap with gold tang buckle with Omega logo.
Dial: Champagne gold colored dial with applied yellow gold and black baton hour indices, open bar outer minute divisions, aperture for the date @3 with steel baton hands and center seconds pointer, and the dial signed Omega, Automatic Chronometer, Officially Certified, Constellation, with star, Swiss Made”.
Movement: NOT SHOWN, but likely the Omega Cal. 564, copper-colored, 24 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, mono-metallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement triple signed.
Condition: Case – Good with moderate surface scratches front and back. Appraised as being an 18k gold case. Dial – Very good with some wear to the batons. Movement – Not shown but considered original, genuine and functional. {I have valued this watch as being solid gold, however, Omega did make a watch in 1968, the Ref. CD 168.017, a 36mm diameter case, which was 14k gold plate stainless steel, and if this is what your watch case is made of the value would drop to the $600 range}}

Therefore, in today marketplace I believe your example of this solid gold omega Constellation would bring in the range of $900-$1200. This is the fair Market value of this watch, not the grey market value, not the retail value (higher of course) but just the value if a non-dealer sold the watch to a friend.
