16" x 3", Wound, Decorative 5" handle. With rear straps measuring approx. 11" and front 7". The strings appear fastened in sinew. The construction is leather showing little or no wear. Condition is very fine with some slight handling color on string.

An african late 20th century fly whisk or flyswatter with leather tassles. Besides being useful to disturb flys it is also a mark of authority in some african societies.
