?
This is a late 19th century, Victorian era box made in the style of English Tunbridge ware (note, not turn bridge). It is denoted by inlaid wood designs using various woods to create a color contrasted decoration. This type of inlay is referred to as parquetry (pictorials done with inlaid wood is marquetry). This box has the receptacles and lining to be a ladies portable sewing box. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
