What does this mean?

Good morning, Tabitha,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Do you want me to appraise the plates? If so, please advise on how many, the diameter and attach some photographs of both sides of one.

Thank you!

Tabitha williams May 22, 14:59 UTC

They are about 10” in diameter I’m not home to measure but I’m pretty sure that’s the size.

Delia May 22, 15:55 UTC

How many plates are there?

Tabitha williams May 23, 00:17 UTC

Total from this Wedgwood set includes:

(1) serving dish with ladle
(9) 10 inch plates
(7) soup bowls
(1) small oval platter
(1) medium oval platter

Hi Tabitha,
Thanks for the additional information and photos. Based on this information, and subject to examination, this is:

An assembled hand-painted blue and white Wedgwood partial dinner service, late 19th and early 20th Century
Comprising:
(9) dinner plates, 10 inches diamter
(7) soup bowls
(1) small oval platter
(1) medium oval platter
(1) covered tureen with ladle
20 pcs (lid for tureen does not count as separate piece but ladle does)
$300-500

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.

I'm confused the appraisal that came in on 5/22 without the knowledge of the other items was $300-$500 and happens to be the same price when I gave you the totals on the pieces?

Delia May 28, 16:16 UTC

Tabitha,
My apologies for any confusion - did I do the appraisal on the plates or was that from another appraiser? The value for the plates AND the tureen should definitely be MORE than just the plates.

Tabitha williams May 28, 20:54 UTC

You did both. You started with the tureen then asked me to send photos of the plates so I did.

Delia May 29, 11:19 UTC

I do apologize - I'm not sure where wires got crossed, but I'll amend the value on this to $500-800.
