White sofa, queen Anne style legs
An antique house
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a Louis Philippe style sofa of the 1870s, newly upholstered to meet modern taste.
The frame appears to be carved walnut with a few nice carved ornaments.
In general antique sofas are rather inexpensive if offered at auction, due to size and storage space they require. The auctioneers are willing to let it go often for less than 200 USD. The quality of the upholstery and cost of the fabric is not taken into account. It is a different story if time and money was invested, a dealer might be asking much more.
