Description: landscape oil painting by listed artist William Benecke (American, 1934 -2001) | Oil | Depicts a view of Southern France and particularly of Saint Paul, a village situated near the French Riviera | With a unique blend of beigy and greeny colors | Signed by the artist on the lower right of canvas | Approx. Dimensions: 35" X 45" | William Benecke was born in November 1934 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away in 2001. Studying and sketching trips in the 70s and 80s brought him in touch with France where this particular painting was probably executed.
