What does this mean?

This is an antique, late 18th century, mahogany tall or long case Irish grandfather clock with metal face that was made by William McCabe of Newry in Northern Ireland. McCabe is listed as being alive from 1740 - 1785 and he was located in both Lisburn and Newry and recorded as living in Newry from 1772 until his passing in 1785. The clockworks would have been built by McCabe and a joiner would have built the case. It should be noted that William McCabe also had a son by the same name who was also a clockmaker and took over the Newry shop from 1785 - 1800 and then moved to London.
