This shotgun has been in storage for 60+ years, and has not been fired since it went into storage. It was originally purchased new by my father, Eugene King Freeland Sr.
My father did hunt with this gun and he added the rubber stock pad to it.
Dear Eugene,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry and my sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a Winchester Model 12, an internal-hammer pump-action shotgun with an external magazine for 12 gauges. The serial number 1578933 dates this shotgun into the year 1956.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
