Dear Douglas,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil paint on canvas with 28 x 38 3/16
inches measurements. The unsigned painting depicts a winter landscape in the manner of Cornelius David KRIEGHOFF (1815-1872). This painting is made in a weaker style and a weaker quality than comparable artworks by Cornelius David KRIEGHOFF (1815-1872). Also, the canvas indicates and later dating than 1872.
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
