Approximately 5 inches wide, 10 inches tall. Etching. Can’t quite make out the artists name, but a date is legible at the bottom. 1917. There are initials next to it, but also hard to read. Etched onto high quality paper.
My grandma owned it for many years, but I don’t know where she acquired it from.
Hello Jared,
Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The item presented appears to be Louis Conrad Rosenberg (American, 1890 - 1983). The print appears to be signed to the lower margin. Also initialed and dated in plate. Rosenberg was best known for his intaglio prints of many architectural views throughout both Europe and the United States. He was awarded a silver medal from the California Print Maker's Society (1924) and the Logan Medal from the Chicago Society of Etchers (1925 and 1927).
The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of comparable etchings by Louis Rosenberg. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
